Shelter is a new mini-documentary about five skiers and snowboarders who explore the ski hut ski shelter network that connects the Swiss, French, and Italian Alps. While this film features breathtaking cinematography and groundbreaking skiing and snowboarding, it centers around the topic of climate change and sustainability. In the film the adventures deal with the environmental impacts that adventure sports can have, and challenged themselves the carbon footprint of the film production as small as possible. In the end, the filmmakers were able to produce Shelter with a carbon footprint 100 times smaller than the average winter adventure film while still demonstrating that there are always ways for adventure sport enthusiasts to reduce their carbon emissions without sacrificing adventure or fun.
